Easy Homemade Vanilla Hot Chocolate

Easy Homemade Vanilla Hot Chocolate

This easy homemade vanilla hot chocolate is my favorite thing to make in the snuggly kinda weather. Creamy, sweet and warm. What’s more? It only takes minutes to be ready. I can dip any pastries in it while curl up inside a blanket with Netflix on. Literally the best way to spend the day during the Fall, Winter, and even Spring.

How to make a homemade vanilla hot chocolate.

You would want to mix whole milk and half-and-half for that delicious creamy slurpy result but not too overwhelmingly thick. Whisk the milk combo with the unsweetened cacao powder, brown sugar (you can use white sugar or coconut sugar or whatever you have available in the pantry) and a pinch of salt while it's heating up on the stove. Heat will help mixed everything up. Turn off the heat, once small bubbles appear on the side surfaces of the pan then add in some vanilla extracts or more for stronger flavor. Enjoy!

How to spice up a homemade vanilla hot chocolate.

I love drinking my homemade vanilla hot chocolate with a pinch of cinnamon powder sprinkled on top thus it mentioned in the recipe. Cinnamon gives me warm and that fall season's feeling. However, you are welcome to spice your vanilla hot chocolate with other condiments from sweet to exotic, such as whipped cream, marshmallow, caramel sauce, grated dark chocolate, ginger, cloves, or even cardamom. Feel free to be as creative and adventurous as you would like.

Directions:

Heat the milk in saucepan over medium-low heat until it’s warm, pour a quarter in a cup and whisk it or put it in blender to make it frothy.
